Obituary of Mary Ann Monahan
Mary Ann Monahan of Taylor died Monday at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Taylor. She and her husband, Eugene Monahan, celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on April 20.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Santarsiero Francis, she was a graduate of Riverside High School, class of 1977. She was formerly employed at the Uni-Mart, Taylor. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and Divine Mercy Parish, Scranton.
Also surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Monahan, Taylor; and Tammy Chludzinski, Old Forge; a son, Jason Monahan, Avoca; three grandchildren, Avery Greaves, Kayla and Zackary Chludzinski; a great-granddaughter, Aria Chludzinski; a brother, Charles Francis and wife, Linda, Taylor; a sister, Barbara Pisauro and husband, Frank, Moosic; nephews; and her best friend of 40 years, Annette Boyko.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, with Mass at 10:30 in Divine Mercy Parish at Church of St. Joseph, Davis Street, Scranton.
