Obituary of Jean Cammarota
Jean Cammarota, 92, of Old Forge, died Monday at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She was the widow of the late Anthony J. Cammarota, who died Dec. 13, 1996.
Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Benedetto and Julia Marinelli Picchi. She was a graduate of Old Forge High School’s Class of 1941 and a 1942 graduate of the former Lackawanna Business School, Scranton. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, for the compassionate care given to Jean.
Surviving are a sister, Marge Evans, Endwell, NY, nieces, and nephews.
Jean was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carlo and David Picchi, and two sisters, Maria Picchi, and Betty Rivello.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at the Prince of Peace Parish – St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge. Interment Old Forge Cemetery.
Relatives and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday morning 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
