Obituary of David F. Gromada
Dave Gromada, 54, of Avoca, died Friday at home. He was married to the former Phyllis Kaiser Reeder. The couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary on April 14.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Frank J. and Marie Schiavo Gromada, he was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, class of 1979 and attended courses at King's College, Wilkes-Barre. He was self-employed providing transport delivery service for several local newspapers.
Dave was an avid vinyl album collector. During the 1980s, he enjoyed freelance disc-jockeying and continued to practice this skill for family and friends. Dave loved all animals and kindly rescued a wide variety from dogs and cats to birds and wildlife.
He is survived by aunts, uncles and cousins, and leaves behind several close friends.
The funeral service will be Monday at 5 p.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge.
