Obituary of Frances A. Dipipi

Frances A. Maciborski Dipipi, 79, Mount Laurel, N.J., formerly of Old Forge, died Monday. She was the widow of the late Robert "Bob" Dipipi, who died Dec. 6.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Frank and Rose Maciborski, she was a graduate of the Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned her nursing degree. Fran spent many years as a nurse, giving of herself to others. Her giving spirit continued when she started her family with her loving husband, Bob. She was a loving and nurturing mother and also a devoted, wife, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Fran is survived by a son, Bob Dipipi and wife, Gwen; three daughters, Linda Newman and husband, Eric; Patty DellaVecchia and husband, Tony; and Marissa Morini and husband, Joe; eight grandchildren, a great-grandson, a sister, Rose Nehme and husband, Phil; and loving nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cyndi; and a grandson, Jesse.

The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, followed by a Mass at 10 at Prince of Peace Parish at St. Mary's Church, West Grace Street, Old Forge. Interment, Old Forge Cemetery.

Friends and relatives will be received Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
