Obituary of Congetta Venturiello

Congetta Venturiello, 91, of Old Forge, died Tuesday at the Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. She was married to the late Joseph Venturiello, who died in 1973.

Born in Inturequie, Italy, daughter of the late Michael and Concetta Conosciuto Susi, she attended Jessup public schools. Before her retirement, she was employed at Brooks Manufacturing, and was a member of the ILGWU. She was a member of the Old Forge Senior Citizens and the Moosic Arts and Crafts Club. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge, and its Parish Society.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Mountain View Care Center for the compassionate care given to Congetta.

Congetta is survived by nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jim and Betsy Pisa, Ed and Lorraine Zilla, and Bob and Phyllis DeLayo.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Gina and Irene Susi; and two brothers, John and Michael Susi.

The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at the Prince of Peace Parish - St. Mary's Church, West Grace Street, Old Forge. Interment, Old Forge Cemetery.
