Obituary of Edward D. Bordick
Edward D. Bordick of Old Forge died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at the Green Ridge Care Center, Scranton.
He was married to the former Theresa Galacci. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on Nov. 26.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Antonio and Lucille Lispi Bordick. He attended the University of Scranton.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by Consolidated Cigar, West Pittston, Warp Processing, Exeter, and Tobyhanna Army Depot.
He was an Army veteran, having served during the Korean conflict.
He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge, the Parish's folk group, and served as treasurer of the Parish Society. He was also a member of the Old Forge Lions' Club and St. Ann's Choir, Scranton.
Ed died with his family by his side. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the Green Ridge Care Center and the Hospice of Sacred Heart for their exceptional compassionate care given to Edward.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lynne Martino and husband, Joseph, Taylor; and Lori Bordick-Lesavage, Old Forge; and two beloved grandchildren, Noelle Martino and Brendan Bordick-Lesavage.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass in Prince of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church, West Grace Street, Old Forge. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
